i have two points to make regarding the recent discussion.  First, I
don't think it is right to single Jason Price out because his mother
chooses the post to this list.
 
That said I must also disagree.  The dollar IS a big part of this
game.  Why do players play at the University of Maine?  Is it because
they want to receive an education?  Maybe to a point.  But the
overriding reason many student-athletes choose to attend a quality
division 1 program like Maine is because it prepares them for the next
level, the pros and the DOLLAR.
 
That doesn't mean that rules shouldn't protect our players, but we
cannot ignore the role money does play here.
