Shields Notches Two Goals as Great Britain Falls to Estonia


ORONO, Maine-- University of Maine men's ice hockey junior forward Colin
Shields (Glasgow, Scotland) scored two goals as Great Britain fell to
Estonia 4-3 on Thursday in the IIHF World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia.
Shields scored the final two goals for Great Britain 7:30 apart in the third
period. He notched a power play tally at 5:01 of the third period and
followed that up with an even strength goal at 12:31.

Shields ranks tied for seventh in overall scoring in the tournament and is
tied for the lead in goals scored with three. Great Britain is 0-2-1 in the
tournament and will face host Croatia on Friday.
