Found this information on the Albany River Rats website (I was looking for info on Steve Kariya) and figured that people here might want to know about it. I haven't seen anything about it before and didn't find anything on the front page of the
Pirates website.

THE JENNIFER FERRARO FOUNDATION TO BENEFIT STOMACH CANCER
Join the Albany River Rats in the fight against stomach cancer by making a donation to the Jennifer Ferraro Foundation. Former River Rats Center Chris Ferraro, his twin brother Peter along with a coalition of friends and families have begun a
foundation in the memory of his late wife, who passed away after a battle with stomach cancer.
“After seeing what my wife had to battle, it is certainly not a pleasant situation and if we can save one life or comfort many others throughout their battle, then her passing will not have been in vain,” said Ferraro. “We are trying to grow this
foundation so that her name will live on. The will and desire that she possessed to try to live and beat it was so impressive and while she may no longer be here physically, we are going to keep her name alive.”
Jennifer Ferraro died on Nov. 5, 2002, in Long Island, N.Y., after a year-long battle with gastric cancer. She was diagnosed during the fall of 2001, just weeks after she and Chris married.
