The following was in today's UMaine Today:

° Today's Bangor Daily News includes a front-page story updating UMaine
hockey coach Shawn Walsh's battle with kidney cancer.  Walsh will
travel to Maryland on Monday to begin preparation for stem cell
transplant treatment.  The story points out that Walsh's brother,
Kevin, who will be the donor for the transplant, has an unusually high
number of stem cells.  "The most encouraging part is the average person
has 50-70 stem cells per measure of blood, but Kevin has 290, which is
the most they have ever seen.  Whey my doctors heard that, they jumped
for joy," Walsh told the BDN.  That story is on the Web at
