see, this kind of response is the type that does not allow those that
truly appreciate the sport of hockey and devotion for the umain team to
go to major events....i think that the funds should be raised to send
wmeb to the games....i sat next to the boys of wmeb and i thought that
they were great..they truly have a love for the game and know what they
are talking about...i think that the university should send them
because it is one thing to hear it on the radio and see it on the
TV..and then it is another thing to hear it from umaine students that
have faithfully been following the team all year long... if it is any
consolation...just to let you know...the statisticians for the umaine
hockey team, whom have followed the team all season long, including
practices and road trips, wont be allowed to go either because there
are no funds for them...they truly have dedicated their year to this
winning season and did not get paid..might i add...if anything, i
believe that anyone who has proven their dedication to the team, like
the boys of wmeb and even the stat people, should be sent out
there...because, not for anything but, now it feels that this season
has been wasted..well not wasted but all of the hard work with no
rewards..and can you think of any greater reward then to go to the
frozen four with a team that you have stood behind and supported the
whole year thru??  i cant......
