Likely many of you are getting ready for tomorrow's NCAA matchup between
Maine and Ohio State in the first-round of the NCAA Tournament.  Some, of
us already in the Frozen Four without even playing a game.
 
But what if we lose?
 
Look at how far we've come.
 
Last year, Maine was under .500 in the league and just over .500 overall.
This was the first year after two years of NCAA banishment, and with only
14 scholarships Maine was relegated to a rebuilding mode.  This year, still
missing 2 scholarships, Maine's GOAL was the NCAA Tournament.  Mission
accomplished!
 
This year, Maine has already proven how reslient this program is.  Not only
have the Black Bears improved on a year ago, but they are back to the NCAA
Tournament for the first time since 1995 and even if we should lose on
Friday, this will still be a very successful season and Maine hockey has
been returned as a national power.. in record time!
 
Now, let's take care of those Buckeyes!
