The Ice Griffs followed up their weekend 7-6 victory over Geneseo by posting a
7-1 knockout for their home opener last night at Dann Rink.  By periods:
 
        Canisius        1       3       3       *7*
        Geneseo         1       0       0       *1*
 
Don't have details, but Sophomore goaltender Derek Slater was outstanding in
the nets, as he made several stops from short range & totally stymied Geneseo's
slap shots from the points.
 
Canisius is now 3-0 on the season, heading into Saturday's home stand against
Potsdam.
