Strictly from the "I'm pretty sure I heard this somewhere but I wouldn't
stand by it" department, I *think* that the Ivies now resolve their ties
and don't award co-championships, at least when their is a clear winner in
the head-to-head.

Caveat 1: this may only be for football.
Caveat 2: this may be just an Ovaltine hallucination.

In the past there have, of course, been many co-championships awarded. In
1985, Cornell, Harvard and Yale managed a triple tie. There has been no
co-championships since that year.

Cornell has not won back-to-back titles since 83, 84, and 85. They have
not won back-to-back sole championships since 77, 78. (They have a ways to
go for the record number of consecutive titles: the Big Red took eight
straight from 66 to 73, with a combined record in Ivy games of 84-7-1 over
those years.)

Princeton has never won the Ivy title, but the past few years have brought
several titles to hungry teams. Cornell's 96 title was its first in 11
years; Yale's 92 title its first in 7 years; Brown's 91 crown its first in
15 years. Dartmouth's next loss puts them out of the hunt for the 17th
straight year. And the Tigers' drought is at 41 seasons and counting.
