Wisconsin defeated Northern Michigan University 4-1 Friday night at the
Great Dane in Madison, WI. It was a quick, entertaining, penaly-free game
that offered little by way of conversation.

Kirk Daubenspeck got the start and the win, playing much more confidently
than in recent weeks. Getting bombed by Michigan and New Hampshire will do
that I guess.

Wisconsin's freshman "Fab Four" Dustin Kuk, Niki Siren, Steve Reinprecht and
T.R. Moreau (out with a back injury) continued to impress by scoring 2 goals
and playing with the innocent confidence that sometimes occurs when a young
bunch like each other and play well together.

The UW power play went 1-for-3 and is an impressive ~23 percent in league
play. The Badgers are now 8-0 in WCHA Friday night games, 4-0-1 in their
last 5 games, and are 1 point out of 4th place, two points out of 3rd,.......

Freshman goaltender Mike Valley will probably get the start tonight, as Coach
Jeff Sauer intends to rotate goalies for the time being.

Yours,

Terry E. Tuschen Jr.
