My first experience with the "sieve" cheer was in 1977 when PC played at
Cornell.  Not only did the Cornell fans chant "sieve", they also threw them
on the ice as visual aids!  I've always enjoyed the trip to Lynah Rink.  It
kind of reminds me of an eastern version of Wisconsin.  (That is NOT an
insult, BTW.  We in Providence have very fond memories of the Wisconsin fans
from their tournement visits here.  Many Rhode Islanders were disappointed to
learn that Wisconsin will not be in Providence this year.)
