CCHA has 3. at most 2 can make it to providence
ECAC has 2. both can get to providence.
Hockey East has 3. at most 2 can make it to providence
WCHA has 4. at most 3 can make it to providence
the bracketing guarantees a west team will be in providence as one
quarter of the bracket has 3 west teams
3 of the 4 brackets have two teams from the same conference, while in the
remaining bracket every team is from a different conference
it is possible for 3 of the 4 regional games on saturday to feature
2 teams from the same conference:
                Maine v UNH
                Minn v CC and
                MSU v Michigan

Last night, i played around a bit with trying to find a way to have
at most one team from a conference in each bracket, but couldn't find
anything extremely equitable. switching minnesota and unh and then
denver and lssu would correct this in two of the brackets, but there
was absolutely no good way to get all four brackets to have teams from 3
conferences.
