Having been to all WCHA rinks many times, here are my rankings. I'm basing
these on the factors already mentioned by others on the list.

      1. Minnesota (beautiful, new outstanding facility. only two
criticisms, poor officials room and mega-slow elevator)
      2. Alaska Anchorage (super place...media facilities are
questionable)
      3. Michigan Tech (perhaps a little biased, however, this a pure
hockey rink with a great atmosphere....almost too comfortable for visiting
teams)
T4. Wisconsin (great atmosphere, however, not anywhere close to a
great hockey rink. Poor press facilities, however, their I've heard UW's
new lockerroom is absolutely beautiful)
T4. North Dakota (nice rink all the way around)
      6. St. Cloud State (new, nice, has it all)
      7. UMD (nice facelift to the DECC this year)
      8. Denver (neat place, not good that both teams exit out same door)
      9. Northern Michigan (intimidating atmosphere for visiting teams)
NR Colorado College (new rink is under construction)

All rinks in the WCHA have their own charm. The buildings are large, for
the most part, and filled with a great deal of tradition. These rankings
are my opinion and do not represent the opinion of Michigan Tech University
or anyone affiliated with MTU.
