We have had ads on the boards at the DECC for years.  This year, we
remodeled and after the new boards got put in, we had an intrasquad game
for the MN Moose (IHL) before the ads were put on.  The place looked
really bright and nice without the ads, but the money they bring in is
worth more than a bright arena.
