I agree Damon should be responsible enough.

Obviously the professors are tracking it -- or rather some of them are.

I guess my more refined question is what kind of reporting the professors
must do on the issue. Are they just allowed to call the AD and say that
so-and-so missed so many classes, or do they need to report a problem before
hand? I guess I would make the assumption the professors were reporting
that information to the athletic department if it is going to be a cause for
suspension. Usually such action would have to be well-documented I would
think. Perhaps I am wrong.

Is there anyone in the hockey office (outside of the player himself) who
tracks these things? If so,
shouldn't someone have given him a heads up.

DT -- How on earth could someone in the hockey office keep track of 30 guys
and the number of classes they take each week -- and how would they ever
track it??? Make individual phone calls to each professor every time one of
the guys has each and every class??? -- quick math says that could be nearly
400 phone calls a week!! Then, there are those profs who don't take
attendance ...
Damon is 26 years old and has to be considered an adult capable of
keeping track of his own conformation to a contract. Isn't that what the
real world is all about?
