Some comments:
Maine looked very sluggish to start the game, perhaps
feeling the effects of 5 games in 8 days.
BC came out flying.  They knew what was at stake (a BC
loss would've have almost eliminated them from a shot at
finishing  first).
Alfie did not look that sharp (no way meant to indict
him as the sole cause for the loss).
BC's line of Gionta,Bellfeuille, and Powers is awesome.
Its understandable  why Coach Walsh calls Gionta the
best player in the country.
It was a positive sign that Maine did not quit.
Don't lose sight of the fact that BC was ranked #1 to
start the year.  Maine lost to a very good team.
