No, just the facts as given to me.

Originally, my sister called to get tickets and not being an alumni she did
not feel comfortable questioning why there were no tickets available.
However, having traveled up to Orono from Mass. for the past few years (2
or 3 times a year) it seemed odd that they were "sold out". This is not
1993. I wanted to know the reason why no tickets were available and called
back the next day to get the "real story".

Being an alumni and someone who has purchased tickets before, I think it is
only courteous to explain the change in ticket policy. Otherwise, if there
are no tickets to see Maine play an exhibition game there should be no
reason for me to expect to get tickets to any other game in Orono this
year.

The ticket office by no means was blaming the President, she was telling me
how the policy came about which I wanted to know.

I personally feel the previous policy of having students pick up tickets a
month or two in advance was ridiculous. I think this over compensates a
bit too much. However, if it is only for four games and it creates more
student interest than thats great and it is worth it. The only way the
University could make it easier for students to attend would be to pass out
a six pack to each student on the way in !
