In the "You've Got To Be Kidding Me" Department.....

The ECAC Playoff Picture is wide open, with only 2 teams clinching
a playoff spot, and no one yet to clinch homeice for the quarterfinal
rounds in 3 weeks.

let's take a look

All the below according to the standings as of 2/19/95
Tiebreakers not taken into account.

Sets up an interesting scenario for the remaining 2 weeks.

In addition:

To avoid the play-down round on Tuesday March 7
Brown and Clarkson need 1 point
Harvard needs 5 points
RPI needs 7 points
Colgate needs 7 points
Vermont needs 8 points

Tiebreakers are not coming into effect for any of the above, except for
RPI, with their point disadvantage to princeton for the play-down position.

Some games of note for the next 2 weeks:

Feb 24 Harvard @ RPI for third at that time
Cornell @ Princeton for position to get out of play-down
                Vermont @ Clarkson

Feb 25 Cornell @ Yale
                Colgate @ Princeton
                Brown @ RPI

Mar 3 Clarkson @ Brown perhaps for number 1
                Princeton @ Vermont
                Yale @ Dartmouth

Mar 4 RPI @ Colgate perhaps for the last home-ice
                Clarkson @ Harvard
                SLU @ Brown

Of course all the games are noteworthy, but these stand out.

For the first time in a long time, I can not remember where every single
game in the ECAC going into the last 2 weeks could decide fates of all
teams involved. Good to see, and nervewracking at the same time.

Here's to a great 2 weeks of action!
