Northeastern Maine Library District Consultant

Salary $38,616.00 - $50,402.40

The Northeastern Maine Library District is seeking to fill the position
of District Consultant. This office is located at the Bangor Public
Library and requires state-wide travel.  

Role of the Position of Northeastern District Library Consultant:
This is professional library work providing advisory and consulting
services to seven counties in Northern and Eastern Maine.  These
services include giving professional advice regarding collection
management as well as assistance with the development of library
policies and personnel issues to public, school, academic, and special
librarians, as well as library trustless and Friends of Libraries
Groups; offering continuing education opportunities for professional
growth to librarians; providing direction and organization management
for both the District and its Executive Board; and working with the
other Regional District Consultants to plan statewide programs and
expand information access and library resource sharing.  District
Consultants report to the Director of Library Development.

Requirements:
The minimum education/experience requirement for this position is a
Masters Degree in Library Science (or the equivalent in directly related
education and/or professional  library work experience) and two (2)
years of professional library work experience (a total of 8 years
combination of education and/or experience is required).
