CMLD and NMLD are partnering on fall council meeting programming this
year. NMLD's meeting will be at the Hilton Garden Inn, in Bangor on
September 25th and CMLD's will be at the Senator Inn in Augusta on
September 26th. You can register for either meeting by going to the

Following a brief business meeting, the morning program features Nancy
Dowd talking about Bite-Sized Marketing. After lunch, attendees will
meet Shannon Schinagl, MSL's newest staff member and literacy/children's
services consultant. More details are available below and on the
calendar.
This program is for all library staff. We encourage you to send more
than one person from your library and save money on registration.
Single registration $35.00
Two people from the same library $25.00 each Three people or more from
the same library $20.00 each
(The first 3 libraries in each district to register 3 or more people
will automatically receive a CE stipend worth $50. Already awarded!)

10:00 - 12:00 Bite Sized Marketing: Realistic Solutions for Overworked
Librarians- Do you find your patrons aren't taking advantage of all the
services your library offers? Maybe you have some really cool
collections that are being overlooked or parents bringing the kids in
for story time who have no idea they could download eBooks. Do you have
a small library with an overworked staff? Don't despair. Join Nancy
Dowd for this fun, fast paced session and learn simple strategies that
will help you leverage the work you are presently doing to get the
greatest impact for your library. She'll share examples to inspire you
and will help you create a plan specifically for your library. Be part
of the Bite-Sized approach to marketing of using simple strategies to
get great results.

1:00 - 2:15 Meet Shannon Schinagl- Shannon is the newest addition to
the Maine State Library staff. As the Emergent/Family Literacy and
Children's Services Consultant, Shannon will start a dialog at this
meeting on how libraries can impact early literacy for our youngest
patrons.
