Listed below are several training opportunities being made available to our
library community.  These are all one hour, online events.  Under each
description you will find the dates for each session.  Since there is a new
interface for NoveList Plus we are offering more opportunities for training.

Readers’ Advisory: NoveList Plus and NoveList Plus K-8
Connecting people with books they’ll love is what Readers’ Advisory is all
about!

Explore the new NoveList Plus interface! Find out how to locate just the
right fiction or nonfiction title with NoveList Plus and NoveList Plus K-8.
The NoveList Plus databases add narrative non-fiction content to the
well-known NoveList product. Learn how to search for Book Discussion guides,
Genre Outlines, Read-a-Likes, Award Winners, Curriculum Connection booklists
and much more including marketing tools!

Homework Help: K -12 – Student Interfaces
EBSCO student interfaces for kindergarten through grade 12 are helpful
resources for use in the library and from home!  This workshop will
demonstrate the features of the Searchasaurus, Kids Search, and Student
Research interfaces with curriculum integration.  Also included are
materials for teachers in the Professional Development Collection.  Each
session includes free resources from the EBSCO Customer Support Site
including scavenger hunts, best practices and tutorials. Questions will be
welcomed throughout the session!

Business – Related Databases on EBSCO host

Learning about the content in EBSCO Business Searching Resources makes
answering business-related reference questions all the easier. Join the
session to learn about these powerful resources in EBSCOhost. Business
resources include company profiles and SWOT analysis, industry profiles,
journal alerts and much more!

Environmental Databases

Environment Complete and GreenFile will be searched on the EBSCOhost
interface. Join this one-hour session to explore the rich content of these
databases. Environment Complete offers deep coverage in applicable areas of
agriculture, ecosystem ecology, energy, renewable energy sources, natural
resources, marine & freshwater science, geography, pollution & waste
management, environmental technology, environmental law, public policy,
social impacts, urban planning, and more. The database also contains full
text for more than 680 journals and 120 monographs.

Health- Related Databases

Explore the Health Source databases from EBSCO: Health Source: Consumer
Edition and Health Source: Nursing/Academic edition, MEDLINE and Health
Source Plus on EBSCOhost. Learn to use personal folders, and subject and
journal alerts to explore the features of EBSCOhost that complement the
utilization of these health-related databases.
