ORONO, Maine- The University of Maine men's ice hockey head coach [ fcp:[log in to unmask],%235000473/sports/m-hockey/mtt/whitehead_tim00.html ]Tim Whitehead will be the subject of Portraits, a special public affairs program airing on Saturday,
October 9 at 6:30 pm on WABI-TV 5 in Bangor. WABI is also broadcasting the Maine vs. North Dakota game beginning at 7:00 pm on Saturday.
For this special, WABI camera crews spent time with Whitehead both on and off the ice, and interviewed the coach, players, and family members for an in depth look at the person behind the Maine hockey program.
Portraits is a half-hour recurring local series profiling selected Maine citizens in a documentary style. The pilot for Portraits aired in the summer of 2003 and focused on two days inthe life of Maine's governor, John Baldacci. A February
installment profiled a lobster fishing family in Down East Maine.
