Obviously WZON will carry the hockey games on radio in the Bangor area (with
its signal down to about Augusta) and on the Internet again this year.

But are there any plans for this season to carry the signal on radio
stations elsewhere in Maine ?

If so, will they carry each game, or do they have pre-emption agreements to
dump the boys in favor of the Red Sox, the Pirates, Maine HS football (hard
to believe that) or whatever, on certain games ?

Thanks to anyone who knows about this.

Very much enjoy driving to Maine on Friday nights after work, catching the
start of a game on the radio just about the same time as arriving in the
Portland area...

Wouldn't it be nice with the NHL lockout to get a certain former Black Bears
radio announcer, who now apparently has time on his hands, to return and
once again call a game from the Alfond ? I'll even start a collection for
that one...lol

Failing that, my # 2 choice (get it ?) would be a former Black Bears
blueliner who does color analysis for an NHL team's radio outlet.

GO BLUE...
