I'm sure I haven't read much or most of what has been written about the
disallow of the goal, but what I saw was a bit different from what I've
seen reported:
Damon's skate was in the crease illegally, not Hamilton's!
As Derek was receiving the pass/shot, his skate briefly entered the
crease before the puck. The puck slid briefly through the crease. About
this time, Mike's stick entered the crease. Derek stick handled, bring
the puck just outside the crease. Mike's foot went into the crease ...
and then Derek put the puck past Berkhoel on the short side.
So what matters with the current rule (and proposed, nhl, rule),
including what can be reviewed?
