That kinda thing just never happened under Coach
Walsh. Not to cut into old wounds here, but it's
true. And if a Walsh team ever did seem to be getting
that "L" word, you know he lit a fire under them come
intermission, if not right then and there on the ice
in the middle of the game. He didn't just let it
happen.
Whitehead seems to be a coach that will allow his men
to play the game how they want to so they can suffer
the consequences later. That's not really a bad thing
to me either, really. Cuz you saw how they came out
and played in Game #2. Maybe he saw this as a chance
to let his team lose a game they needed to win so we
don't have a repeat of what happened last season vs.
UMA in the opening round of the HE Tourney. Not quite
the way I would want to see him go about it really,
but it's possible that was his mindset.
