> Your first sentence hit my opinion right on the nailhead. However, IMHO, Morrison should have played in the Championship game last year. He was definately the "hot" goalie at the time. Nothing by any stretch of the imagination against Yahtzee. Tim seems to like the alternation maybe a little too much IMHO. Getting tying goals on an "as needed" basis is not the way I like to see a team that has such a potent offense play games. If it's that potent, they "should" have won 10-5. Makes the question of, "did they want it that bad" come up. let's be realistic here, why do we seem to have trouble with the little dogs? Do we take them too lightly? Not a good thing, in January, or in October for that matter. I like consistancy, go with what works and take it from there. Ok let the fireworks fly......

> Yeah i have one thing, there will be very little alternating goalies once the playoffs start.
> we cannot blame Doyle completely though, even though he went down WAAY to early on the 2 goals by Shmidt the defenseman. there was very little defense played in front of Frankie all night... there is NO reason to have allowed Johnson to skate in alone and get a shot with nobody chasing him. (3rd MC goal) JOhnson is NO Ben Eaves and our defensive corps handles ben better than that.
> the officiating was fine, questionable calls went both ways. WE got the better of the Missed offsides calls... somehow this always happens at merrimack, we get those calls/non-calls when maine is off sides.
> and last the shining light is that our boys proved that they have blitzkrieg scoring abilities. twice, when I thought hte game belonged to merrimack, our boys came right back and scored to tie it. (granted the two goals that Exter let in at the end might have been a little soft, they went right between his legs and were on the ice... but that guy stood on his head all night, stopping MANY quality scoring chances, and Frankie did not stop many quality scoring chances.... the good shots went in.)
> so the upside is that we have all the scoring ability a college team can have (so it seems) and we have Jimmy Howard... and Doyle if he can back into his NOvember/December form.
>
> tonight 7-1 or 4-0 see ya there
> Exter is still awesome, but he will be tired...and MC will let down after they proved to themselves that they can play with the big boys. (and the big bopys will be pissed enough to prove that MC cannotplay witht he big boys)
> Kudos to the Black Bear from NOrth Andover... he does not score all that often, but last night he figured big in the scoring, GO BEN MURPHY, keep it up!
