Wanted let everyone in on some notes from the Coach's Report this morning on WZON with Whitehead:
-Maine's practices have been good, really flying around the ice
-Shaneberger will be back, Heisten, Schutte possibly back NEXT WEEK, and Richardson still out
-Impressed with Maine's depth and the play of both Greyeyes and Lyall last weekend. Continues to be impressed with the rest of the Frosh forwards Falco and Ronan and Murphy
-Very happy with team D
-2 things that are issues this weekend are:
1. UNH's transition game (very similar to Maine)
2. Special Teams, Maine has to be sharp, Whitehead wants to be +1 on special teams both nights
-Have to have GREAT team D because of UNH's two scoring lines. Not like other teams that have just the one where you can match up checkers and defensive parings.
-Finally, he is very happy that this weekend is at home because he figures that it will be a big boost, he referenced the big boost that the crowd gave the team in the PC game (just after christmas) and thinks that it could give Maine the edge again
this weekend.

So to the Maine fans that will be there, be loud. As if that needs to be stated....
-Jake
