All from UMaine Today..

0Tuesday's Portland Press Herald featured coverage of the Monday rally
for the hockey team at Alfond Arena on the front page of its sports
section (pg. D1). There is also a story about Jason Vitorino, the
player who skated into the crease during Saturday's game, which caused
a goal by Dan Kerluke to be disallowed.
http://www.portland.com (I believe they keep a week's worth of stories
on their web site -dt )

0Bangor Daily News columnist Tom Weber reflects on the hockey team's
win on page B1 of today's paper. Weber interviewed fans at Monday's
rally and most of them say this win restores the team and removes the
pain of the NCAA investigations and sanctions.

Go to http://www.bangornews.com/News/NewsFrame.html . The Weber column
is near the end of the page. Also check out these two links:
http://www.bangornews.com/Editorial/EditorialFrame.html where today you
can find a John S. Day column about the hockey team and in yesterday's
editorials (on the same page) you can find an editorial about the
championship. Also, Gary Thorne has a great column about the win in
the Sports section http://www.bangornews.com/Sports/SportsFrame.html
(Weber's column is also linked here). Thorne is from Old Town and I
think the colum sums up a lot.

0Tuesday's Kennebec Journal also features coverage of the Alfond rally
on page B2.

0Today's The Maine Campus has an eight-page special section on the
hockey team's winning season.
