I am forwarding the following news from technical support at UM regarding
how to access trial databases:

EBSCO has agreed to allow us to set up trial database links outside our
authentication system with the following set up:When a remote patron goes to
the statewide trials web page and clicks on the EBSCO database, they will be
prompted to provide the state in which they live in. If they answer "Maine",
their access will be authorized. IP authorized users may be able to bypass
this login.

The EBSCO databases on trial include:

Auto Repair Reference Center

Marshall Cavendish Science Reference Center

History Reference Center

BookSource: Nonfiction

NoveList K-8

With this set up, they will be removed from the main list of databases
located at  <http://libraries.maine.edu/mainedatabases/>
