Linda Lord notified the Maine library community that effective July 1, 2009
NoveList Plus and NoveList  Plus K-8 would be added to the Ebsco databases
on MARVEL! Please excuse cross posting, but we wanted to reach as many
people as possible.


 EBSCO ONLINE  TRAINING SESSIONS TO BE OFFERED ON
NOVELIST PLUS and NOVELIST PLUS K-8
for MARVEL Librarians and Staff

NoveList Plus and NoveList Plus K-8 are Readers’ Advisory databases from
EBSCO Publishing for fiction and non-fiction titles. As part of your MARVEL
subscription,  these Readers’ Advisory  workshops, repeated on different
dates for your convenience are offered at no cost. Join a class and  learn
how to search books series, similar authors, book awards, display ideas, and
curriculum materials.

Instructions will be sent to you as we get closer to the date.  If you will
be using a PC to access the webinar you can use either headphones or
speakers.  If you are using a Mac you will need to have access to a
telephone.  More details on this later.
200 of you have already done EBSCO training this year so you no doubt
remember the drill.  This is a great way to get some additional training
without having to leave your library.  The training is one hour.

200,000 titles to help you and your staffs increase the level of Readers’
Advisory services at your site!
