MORRISON NAMED HOCKEY EAST GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH


ORONO, Maine -- Senior netminder Mike Morrison (Medford, Mass.) was named
Hockey East goaltender of the month for January. It is the third time this
season that Morrison has received goaltender of the month honors. He earned
the honor for October and shared the award with Michael Ayers of New
Hampshire last month.

Morrison finished January with a record of 4-1-2 with a 2.01 goals against
average and a .918 save percentage. He recorded his fifth career shutout on
February 15th with a 1-0 blanking of Providence. Morrison sits just one
shutout shy of the career mark at Maine of six, held by former netminder
Alfie Michaud (1996-99).

Morrison is 16-3-4 on the season with a 1.97 goals against average and a
.930 save percentage.
