I was concerned that with Lowell now lower than Maine in PWR going into the
next weekend, that Maine needed to win the next TWO series to have the
at-large berth assured. Wayne's more studious analysis confirms what I had
feared. That means, if seedings hold, that Maine would face BC again and
have to win that game to get in.

There's another online operation called Inside College Hockey (INCH) which
does its' own take on the Round of 16.

On their site, (undated, although I guess it factors in results from this
past weekend) they presently have Maine in as a #3 seed going West, playing
Minnesota at Minneapolis with Colorado College as #1 seed at that
Regional...oh my.

Of course it has no backup akin to the detailed discussion on USCHO in their
Bracketology column. I can't wait until Tuesday's column there.

This is the same site with retired college coach Jeff Sauer as a columnist,
who predicted that Miinesota-Duluth would win the 2004 Last Four in Boston....

Finally, can Ohio State's hoops upset at the Schott yesterday provide
motivation to the schools' skaters for a berth in the hockey Last Four which
is going to be held at the same venue ?

I'd love to sell my tickets at WAY above face value to Ohio State fans,
should Maine not make it to Columbus...

Dan
