I was able to go to the Saturday game and had a few thoughts about it.

1) Frank Doyle was excellent. I think Maine has always been very lucky
to have such talented goaltending, but this year they are even more
fortunate to have to goalies who are solid as rocks!

2) Why is it that when any team (not just Maine) plays BC, the BC
goalie's net seems to be dislodged more often than in any other league
game? Maybe it is just me, but it seemed that every time things got hot
for Maine, a BC player found himself in the net (so much so, by the way,
that they broke a pin in the 3rd period!!!) There ought to be some form
of penalty for this as I believe it affects the game

3) Maine played well - I think with the win on Friday they were
satisfied to skate to a tie and take 3 points home - I was disappointed
in that, but I could tell from what I saw Saturday night that BC is not
the team that they have been hyped to be.

Can't wait to see the polls tomorrow and can't wait for Portland!!

Beth
