I live in Atlanta, Ga and support the Bears the best I can long distance.
Obviously, I do not get to "see" too many BlackBears games. I was able to
find a sports bar here in hockey hell that allowed us a TV to watch Friday's
game (a miracle in the middle of NC$$ basketball finals!!!)but we could not
hear anything over the crowd. One thing I noticed was a lot of open ice
"falling down" by both teams. It also seemed the puck was a little bouncy.
Is this normal for college hockey? Or was this unusual? Bad ice surface
maybe? I'm not being critical, just curious. I watched the Bears win in
93, and I have only seen a few playoff games since then. I feel like the
play was a little more controlled in other games. I wonder what the Mainers
think? Am I a flatlander expecting too much? Good luck tomorrow night. Let
Gionta have the Hobey, but let the Bears take everything else!
