Thought I would add my own ramblings as Maine prepares to once again storm
the Fleece Center this weekend.

Any new news on Niko. It's ironic that after reading about his first
career hat trick Niko is quoted as saying that he is finally healthy and
has his legs beneath him, only to read that his back is bothering him and
that he is now a question mark. While his regular season performance has
been disappointing to some, there can be NO DOUBTING his big game ability.
I hope to see #15 come tomorrow night.

How many other Maine fans will be interested to see if the UNH contingent
is actually vocal in their support of our Black Bears. It should be one of
the interesting sidelights to the Friday game.

Maine is 0-2 all-time against Providence in the Fleece, one semi-final and
one championship. There is a trend that we need not continue!

Larry Mahoney reports today that Maine has signed yet another forward to
join the team next year. Chad Anderson, the second leading scorer in the
Sask. Junior Hockey League.
The question I have is where are all these guys going to play. At last
count we have close to 20 forwards on next years roster. We only lose 3
this year and there is no way Schutte is moving back to D. The only
thought I have is a couple of guys we might not know about will probably
not be back next year.

Finally, like many of you I loathe BC, but if I had my drothers that's
exactly who I want Maine to play on Sat. night, should we beat Providence.
Of course I'll be cheering for Lowell during the game. Have not yet been
to a game, including two NCAA Championship games, where I could muster up
the nerve to stand for, For BC.

Two wins to repeat, Two wins to get Shawn his 400th! I think they can do it!

See ya at the Fleece Center!
