What a great game tonight. In case you missed it, Maine had an exciting
comefrombehind 4-2 win over Providence tonight.

Depite twice falling behind by a goal, our boys really battled hard and
deserved to win this game.

I have in the past been critical of "fans" (in the general sense) for
leaving early, sitting on their hands, etc. Tonight the Maine faithful
was in a word -- AWESOME! I swear hardly a person had left and the arena
was rocking all night long. It was as loud as the Alfond has been in
quite some time IMHO. It was certainly a playoff type atmosphere and
Maine certainly played with playoff intensity. It was not a perfect game
by Maine, but it was deserving of a win.

Who is #40 - Wright and where is Trapper Clark? Forgive me if this has
been covered in some other publication, but I don't have as much time to
read as I used to! :-) Wright looked well out of place, almost like a
club-team goalie or something with his equipment and did not see many reps
in the warmups. What's the story with this guy?

Marty Kariya, Todd Jackson were among several Mainers who were very
impressive tonight. The defense was outstanding limiting Providences to
very, few shots. Providence's two goals really could have been avoided,
the second coming when Maine got caught pressuring too much.

I had a dream last night that Devin Rask was going to light us up. When
he scored his second goal of the night to make it 2-1 Providence, I was
pretty scared I had turned psychic, but fortunately, Marty had a pair of
his own!

We are in a good position now. The Pairwise won't be worth looking at
until all the games are logged, but Maine will certainly move up several
slots. A win on Saturday would be huge for Maine. Absolutely huge.

GO BLUE!
