My understanding is that season ticket holders who were also Black Bear Club
members (i.e., $500+ donors) were allowed to retain their seats in the student
section if they wanted to, but that non-donor STH's were not given that
option, but were given their choice of other season-ticket locations.  I know
of one fan who was a STH but apparently not a BBC member who did not have the
option of remaining in the balcony. He is now a former STH.
