With Minnesota winning the NCAA championship in St. Paul, I got to
wondering when the NCAAs were last won by the "home team". I don't
have a list of host sites, but the last time a team won in their home
town was BU in Boston in 1972 (don't know if they were the official
hosts or if the NCAA was even designating hosts back then). There was
also Cornell in Syracuse in 1967 (sort of; Colgate may be closer), DU
in Denver in 1961, and CC in Colorado Springs in 1957 and 1950.

Also, by my reckoning, Jordan Leopold becomes the fourth Hobey Baker
Award winner to play for the national championship team (in the same
season). Trivia question: name the other three!
