This is somewhat late for the discussion about ticket prices at the
various schools. I sacrificed timeliness in the interest of accuracy:
SEASON'S TIX -- $198 for 11 games. These tickets are premium.
There is no discount for students, alumni, or anything.
Furthermore, there is a waiting line to get them --
currently 1100 people are waiting. Once you get tickets
they are yours each year until you give them up.
STANDING ROOM - $8 the night of the game. None are sold in advance.
Doors open about an hour ahead of the game, but the line
usually starts queuing an hour before that.
STUDENT SPORTS PASS -- this is the deal to get - may even be worth
signing up for classes! Each full-time student can get
either a sports pass or extended health coverage. If the
student chooses the sports pass he/she gets one free ticket
to each game. That is if he/she is in the first 1500
students. That's all that are allocated to the students.
DONOR - One of the 2 ways I know to ensure yourself of tickets for
the upcoming season. Donate a minimum of $500 to the Black
Bear Fund and you get a season ticket, which costs you $198
so the total is $698 or about $39 per game. You can keep
your ticket as long as you keep donating the minimum.
SKYBOX - These were added with the renovations to Alfond, and the
coming year will be the first they have been used (although
they were used in last years quarter final against
Merrimack) These boxes overlook the goal at one end, and
each holds about 8 people. Price: $10,000 per year with a
10 year minimum. (That includes basketball too) BTW, Wayne
did you get one of these nailed down for HOCKEY-L'ers yet?
