I sent this last night but never saw it posted. I thought I would try again. I am sorry if it is a duplicate.
St. Lawrence defeated Princeton, 5-4. SLU scored 2 fast goals (first 3:29) and Princeton changed goaltenders. SLU scorers were: Giffin, Rank, Taylor (2) and Cunningham. Princeton scorers were: Powe, Westgarth, Magnowski and Jubinville.
What makes this game so different for me is that the Saints were wearing their home whites. I haven't seen an SLU home game since1989. It was great to see Appleton. I have always thought that it is a great arena with a great feel. I love the wooden benches. It has been renovated since I was here last and I think they did a good job.
As some people on the list may know, I am not a fan of the "Sieve" cheer. There were a few chants of "Sieve" but after SLU goals a group of fans would sing "When the Saints Come Marching In". I like it! It is cheering on your team but not ridiculing the opponent. (Off my soap box.)
Tomorrow Quinnipiac plays SLU. I will be there.
The Q beat Clarkson tonight, 6-4. Princeton travels to Clarkson.
