Brown scored with 0.3 (yes, that's three-tenths) seconds left in the third
period to earn a 2-2 tie with Union tonight in Schenectady.
Brown's chippy & clingy style of play frustrated Union all night. Despite
all of that, Union still had a chance to ice the game with a couple of chances
at the empty net. An icing call with 16 seconds left forced a faceoff in the
Union zone, where Brown didn't quit until they scored.
With the reputation of ECAC officials calling numerous penalties, it amazes
me how many penalties were NOT called in this game. Only 4 penalties total
were called. To the officials' credit, at least they didn't call anything
both ways.
Union and RPI swap opponents tomorrow night. Harvard comes in to
Schenectady for Senior night at Achilles.
