Subject: WCHA Playoffs question
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, nobody responded to my first inquiry...so after a weekend at
Mankato, I'll ask again.
I have heard rumblings, both on the radio and USCHO that Mankato would
indeed have the #10 seed again this year, as if it was a certainty.
My question remains...is it? I seem to recall that last year it was
said that they could be seeded higher than #10 if they deserved it.
It's not the same this year?
They are a good team...and could make finishing first in the league a
liability if indeed they get #10......

Now for the question...
How is the WCHA handling the inclusion of Mankato in the tournament
this year? Last year, it was said that they would be the #10 seed,
unless they "deserved" a better seeding. Last year, #10 worked out
about right for them. But this year, they are doing quite well with
a 9-5-2 record. This would put them in 3rd place in the WCHA right
now. So...will they get #10 or #3? Inquiring minds want to know...
