According to the Boston Globe, Harvard AD Bill Cleary was named a recipient
of the Lester Patrick Award for outstanding service to hockey in the US.
Seymour Knox (Sabres founder) and Pat LaFontaine were the other recipients
this year.
Cleary coached Harvard for 19 seasons, leading them to the 1989 NCAA title.
He's been AD since 1990. He was an All-American forward for Harvard and
won 2 olympic medals including the gold in 1960.
Congratulations to a very tough competitor and a great figure in the
college game.
