Mike hestitated just slightly on that first goal and it might have been
enough to allow Domish to get to the puck first but I'd sooner blame the
turnover at the blueline before I'd blame Mike. 6 of one, half dozen of the
other, do you want a breakaway or take the chance that Mike gets there
first. The Second goal was a great shot by Mcgrane who happens to kill
Maine at Alfond. I'm alittle worried about the shorthanded goals being
scored on Maine.
I thought Maine played well against a good opponent. Team D was very good
at keeping Lowell on the boards. Maine forwards were using their bodies and
sticks to block shots and passes thruout the game. What a shot by Shields
on that cherry picking breakaway, did that play look like Mike
Latendresse(sp?) or what?. I have to say the Deschamps and Barnes look to
be pretty good freshman. They might not be strong enough yet but they seem
to know when to jump into the offense. Kudos to Niko also, instead of
looking to do it all, he is really seeing his teammates well. That third
goal was all Niko with a beautiful between the legs assist to Reimann. I
wanted instant replay bad on that play. Can't wait for BU friday night,
Alfond should be jumping, what could be better than that!
