12-05-97 Students Charged After Colby-Bowdoin Melee
 
Six spectators at Wednesday's Colby-Bowdoin hockey matchup will face
criminal charges as a result of a brawl in the stands during the game.
 
In addition to the charges, all against students attending the two
colleges,
some 200 spectators were ejected from Alfond Arena. Colby eventually
won,
3-2 in overtime.
 
The fight was apparently sparked by the appearance of Colby fans in the
Bowdoin section of the arena. Three students are accused of disorderly
conduct, and the other three with criminal trespass.
