Personally I like the decision to bench Ek.  This guy looks real
awkward on the ice and cannot bring the puck out of his own end.  Now
the question is will Ek be benched this weekend or will someone else
get benched?
 
I don't think Ponitz played bad enough to say he should be benched in
favor of Ek, nor Price.
 
It is too bad Garrow was cut, especially with several years
eligibility left, but if Walsh had decided not to use him this is the
best decision for Garrow since he can explore other options.  Garrow
did not impress me, but I would think that he could be a value to the
program in the future.  I would also much rather have 8 defensemen
than just 7.
