Hockey East Karhu Player of the Week
Casey Kesselring, Merrimack: SR F (Cambridge, ONT) led the Warriors on
the road this weekend, scoring six points (3-3-6) in two games against
Ohio State, including a two goal game on Friday night.
 
Rookie of the Week
Adam Tate, Maine: FR D (Kanata, ONT) totaled 0-5-5 over two games in the
JC Penney Classic.  Tate had three second period assists in Friday
night's matchup against St Thomas, the first of which was the game
winner.
 
Hockey East Honor Roll
Tom Poti, Boston University: SO D (Worcester, MA) led Boston University
to victory over Vermont with 1-2-3...Marc Robitaille, Northeastern: SO G
(Gloucester, ONT) earned his fourth career shutout against Providence on
Friday, turning away 26 shots...Jason Krog, New Hampshire: JR F (Fernie,
BC) notched four goals, two in each game, as UNH swept Anchorage 5-2 and
4-1...Tim Lovell, UMass Amherst: SR F (Norwood, MA) racked up four
points against Lowell on Friday (1-3)...Steve Kariya, Maine: JR F (N.
Vancouver, BC) led the Black Bears with seven points on the weekend
(3-4-7), including a natural hat trick in the second period against St
Thomas Friday night...Doug Sheppard, Providence: JR F (Georgetown, ONT)
scored on a blast from the right point at 2:46 of overtime to boost the
Friars over Union, 5-4, Saturday...Greg Koehler, UMass Lowell: SO F
(Scarborough, ONT) had his second career hat trick, as well as an
assist, in Lowell's win against UMass Amherst Friday.
