Alfie Michaud, Maine: SO G Michaud (Selkirk, MAN) made 16 saves in the
second period against the Golden Gophers on Friday to give the Black
Bearsa win at Minnesota. He also registered two assists for the
weekend.
Hockey East Rookie of the Week
Marty Hughes, Boston College: FR D Hughes (Hicksville, NY) scored with
3:47 left in the third period on Friday night to lift the Eagles over
Bowling Green and capture the home opener by a score of 3-2.

Tom Noble, Boston University: SR G Noble (Hanover, MA) notched his first
career shutout with the Terriers' 6-0 win over RPI...Steve Kariya,
Maine: JR F Kariya (N. Vancouver, BC) leads Hockey East in scoring with
4 pts (2-2) on the weekend...Justin Kearns, Northeastern: SR F Kearns
(Toledo, OH) notched a pair of goals to lead Northeastern over Bowling
Green...Mike Souza, New Hampshire: SO F Souza (Wakefield, MA) earned
"First Star" honors for the second straight week with two goals against
Vermont...Tim Lovell, UMass Amherst: SR F Lovell (Norwood, MA) made his
return to Hockey East in a big way, scoring 3 pts. (1-2) against
Dalhousie on Sunday afternoon...Darrel Scoville, Merrimack: JR D
Scoville (Regina, SASK) registered 3 pts. (2-1) against the University
of Guelph to fuel the Warriors to a 10-5 victory.
