If what your trying to say is you appreciated our Pound/ Wall Street
issue, thanks and I'll pass it along. But no member of the FP staff
would support your assessment on my work or the effort behind it, and
they've been around it for at least 20 years and in most cases 30 or
more years. Joe Brennan and I are the fire source for the Poundian voice
in the mag. We cut our teeth on Pound through Rudd Fleming who visited
Pound for 9 years at St. E's and translated Greek drama with the poet.
Fleming for all of his genius would have been the first to concede that
'those who can do, those who can't teach.' Sometimes its just a mater of
being willing to take the risks with so many assholes out there. Though
that's but a minor nuisance. Best, CP
