Carrol,
      You don't surprise me.  Petty bourgeois idealism is the classic
teacher-ly accomodation
to power; as also of course, correlatively, the classic personal strategy,
narcissism, for finessing reality.
But, Pound, from  clever boy,  becomes  poet at those moments of passionate
hate... for the rich and its managerial caste.
And the price of your self-complaisance is... loss of sensibility for this
poetic, the bowels of the logos;  like all your tribe,  you are a casuist.
