        Current mid-week round trip fare is about $66.  I guess that
        Amtrak is taking advantage of everyone doing business at the
        state capital.  If you need a car, I think the rental agencies
        will meet you at the station with one.

        The Albany airport is serviced by all the major carriers, and
        if you take USAir, chances are you will get a jetway (they have
        the exclusive rights to use the 2 that are there).  Plus, you
        get to change at Pittsburgh, the largest mall in the country
        with an on-site airport :-).
 
        By 2001, Albany should have major improvements to the airport
        finished...but don't count on it.
